He likely also owned property because all of his children were reported as living on a farm. Mr. Critz had five siblings, and he married Mrs. Lucille Critz at the age of 22. His last residence was in Edinburg, Texas, and he is now buried in Old Fellows Cemetery in Starkville, Mississippi.
Mr. Critz had three sons serve in World War II, but only one son survived. Mrs. Harriet Reed stated that he "was never the same after losing two sons."

Ethel Lucille Ferguson Critz
Mrs. Ethel Lucille Gerguson Critz (1891-1984) was born in New Orleans, and both of her parents were born in Mississippi. She did not regularly attend school, but she was able to read and write. Like Mr. Critz, her last residence was in Hidalgo, Texas, and she is now buried in Old Fellows Cemetery in Starkville, Mississippi.

Ethllyn L. Critz (1913-2007) was born in Mississippi, and she is the oldest of six children. She graduated from Starkville High School in 1929 and from the Mississippi State College for Women in 1933, when she married Willard Humphrey Utz. She was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church, Girl Scouts in the 1950's and 1960s, and she was also a member of Philanthropic Educational Organization for 48 years. She was also the president of Chapter DM in Edinburg, Texas. She had three children, Gabe Utz, Genevieve Klaus, and Harriet Reed. Her last residence was in Denton, Texas, where she passed peacefully.
Her husband, Willard Humphrey Utz, was called "Papa Daddy" by his last surviving daughter, Harriet Reed.

Mary W. Critz
Mary W. Critz (1913-1997) was born in Mississippi. She married Gilbert Hungerford Flethcer, and she is now buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville, Mississippi.

Harry T. Critz
Harry T. Critz (1917-1942) was born in Louisiana, and he passed away in Clarkesville, Georgia at the age of 25, and he is now buried in Starkville, Mississippi. According to Harriet Reed, he was killed in Georgia on a training mission before he was able to enter the European war theater. He was caught in a thunderstorm over Georgia, and he tried to land his plane but crashed among trees. He was training to become a fighter pilot.
He had a manufacturing job with automobiles, and like Thomas F. Critz, he received a college education from Mississippi State University.
He enlisted in the Air Corps in Jackson, and he earned the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He received a grade code of Aviation Cadet, and he was a component of the Regular Army for the Philippine Department. He received four years of college at Mississippi State University.
Beverly Critz
Beverly Critz (1923-2008) was born in Mississippi, and he regularly attended school like all of his other siblings. He is now buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville, MS. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in June, 1942 and he was attached to the 98th Bombing Group in Italy. He changed his name to Richard Laurens Critz. He married Carolyn H. Critz.
He was also known as Dick Critz, and he was the only son who survived the war.
Martha Adele Critz
Martha Adele Critz (1926-1987) was born around in Mississippi, and she is also buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville. She moved to Texas 14 years before her passing to live with her family. She was a member of the Starkville First United Methodist Church.
